JCM Photography
Hello, I'm going to be your wedding photographer!

blog

Today is the first day of the rest of my life...

Well, I guess I should begin with saying hello and welcome!

This is my first ever blog post (ever), on my first portfolio website, on the first day of the rest of my life. I used to work in a school for children with severe special needs, it was only ever supposed to be an 'in-between' job before I found a career, after I finished studying at The University of Leeds. 6 years later however I was still at the school, and you know why? Because I absolutely loved my job, I loved the varied days, the children brightened my mood if I was feeling down and I got to work with a wonderful bunch of people and professionals. I still exercised my passion in photography at every opportunity, most weekends, holidays abroad, walks in the countryside, you name it, I usually would be found with camera in hand. I also managed to use my skills at school as I photographed the children's portraits for many years, they were then sold to the parents.

About a month ago I realised that I needed to do something for me, something that was life changing and throw me completely out of routine. I handed in my notice at the school and decided that it was time to follow my dream and do something I was great at. JCM Photography was born. Now we are here, the first ever blog from JCM Photography (but you can call me Jack) on my brand new website, ready to show you some eye candy and keep you coming back for more. I've always been in awe of my dads super dope images he has taken, be it from a fashion shoot, a landscape, a portrait or architecture. My dad is and always will be my biggest critic, but how can I take offence to criticism when he has such a wealth of knowledge to draw upon, it has only bettered me as a photographer.

If you have any project that you may feel will benefit from some super sexy photographs, feel free to get in touch, you'll find my details at the bottom of the page or use the form on the contact page and I'll get back to you in a jiffy.

So, as its a special date, May the 4th Be With You...or rather me, or us, as this is my year and you'll be seeing my work about.
